While I think it’s important not to stress about being overly productive during this time of uncertainty, if you’re anything like me you like to keep busy! I’ve definitely had my lazy, do nothing days since we’ve had to start self isolating and I think that can be very good for the soul. Ultimately though, I am someone who likes to be busy and it can be hard to fill the days right now.
So, I’ve compiled a list for the coming days with some ideas of how to keep busy and feel productive if that’s your thing too!
Organize Your Closet
This is long overdue for me! I want to get everything out and take inventory of what I have. This way I can see if I need to purchase anything for spring/summer or not and I can move more seasonally appropriate pieces to the front of my closet.
Have a Spa Day
Take a day to paint your nails, have a relaxing bath, pluck your eyebrows, do a face mask. Basically do all the pampering things you’ve put off doing because you’ve been quarantined and no one will see you anyway. I promise it will make you feel nice!
Learn a New Recipe
Now is the perfect time to try a new recipe! Whether you’ve never really had to cook before and want to try something simple or have been cooking for ages but have a recipe you’ve always been scared to make, there is no better time to try than now.
My plan this weekend is to target all the things that get missed in our weekly cleans and spring clean the apartment. Things like washing windows, organizing the tupperware, and washing the couch cushions are all on my list!
Start a New Workout Routine
Time is one of the main reasons people don’t work out but since we have more of it now, it’s the perfect time to try out some new home workouts to see what you like! I love Yoga with Adrienne, Cambria Joy, and Blogilates on YouTube.
Take Up a New Hobby
Another fun yet productive way to pass the time is to try out a new hobby. Whether you’ve always wanted to learn to play guitar, develop some new photography skills, or even start a blog; now is the perfect time to really immerse yourself!
If you have lots of files and photos on your computer that are unorganized and all over the place; organizing them will make you feel incredible! Create folders for everything from photos to tax documents, school papers, and more. It will be so much easier to find what you need in the future!
